a post-secondary program that was established to meet the needs of young adults ages 18-22 (and older) with neurodiversity. The program offers students a unique and highly individualized opportunity to further their education while developing the skills necessary to live their best life independently.

LiFT University Transition Program

Registration Fee:
$500.00 first student, $400.00 each additional student

Standard Registration Begins: April 20, 2024 to July 31, 2024

$400 if registered from Feb. 16, 2024 to March 17, 2024

*New LUTP Learners:
$400 if registered from March 18, 2024 to April 19, 2024

LiFT Adult Training Program

Adult Training Program
Registration Fee: $0
Tuition: $8,100

LiFT Adult Training Program was established to meet the needs of neurodiverse young adults ages 23+. The program offers students an opportunity to enhance their social and emotional skills while also developing the skills necessary to live their best lives: executive functions, life skills, and basic employability skills. Adult Training Program members follow an abbreviated schedule: 11:00-3:30, M-F.


Steps for Enrollment

#1 Pre-Admission Application

This application helps us determine if your student meets our admission requirements.

#2 Meet

All parents must meet with someone from the LiFT Administrative Team.

#3 Shadow Day

Your student must have a Shadow Day on the Lift University campus.

#4 Admissions Application

New Applicants will complete and Submit the Admissions Application and required documents.

#5 Interview

Attend a personal interview with Program Committee.

#6 Submit Registration Packet

Upon Acceptance into the program, you will receive a registration link.

Returning LiFT University Transition Program & Adult Training Program Students


LiFT U Requirements

  • 18-22 (and older) 
  • Documented Disability 
  • Finished High School OR 12th grade student who has deferred high school graduation
  • Demonstrates an interest and desire to pursue educational, vocational, social and emotional, and life skills development through post-secondary education 
  • Able and willing to participate in a LiFT assigned Internship 
  • Agree to participate in periodic assessments throughout program  
  • Two letters of recommendation for students new to LiFT 
  • Pass the LiFT University Academic/Life Skills Assessment *To be taken during Shadow Day

LiFT Adult Training Program Requirements

  • 23 years of age and up 
  • Documented Disability 
  • Demonstrates an interest in gaining social and emotional skills, life skills, and basic employment skills  
  • Two letters of recommendation for students new to LiFT 
  • Demonstrate independence *example: prepares meals for themselves, uses restroom alone, follows directions as given, collaborates with team members to complete assigned tasks

PLEASE NOTE: LiFT University Training Program is selective. Meeting basic requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. In addition to submitting the required documentation, the candidates will interview with the LiFT University Program Committee.

Scholarship Information

Scholarship applications are open for the school year for students in 12th grade status who have deferred graduation.

  • LiFT accepts the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FES-UA), FES-EO, FTC, and HOPE Student Scholarships.
  • A copy of your latest tax return and your W-2 form will be required.
  • *Note, a parentally placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as amended.


All families must sign up online through the FACTS Tuition Management System for tuition payment options.

LiFT University Scholarship Information

LiFT accepts the Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES-UA and FES-EO), FTC, and HOPE Student Scholarships. A copy of your latest tax return and your W-2 form will be required. LiFT also offers the LiFT Board Scholarship.

LiFT Board Scholarship Opportunities

LiFT offers limited scholarships to families in financial need. Families can go through the FACTS system to apply. A copy of your latest tax return and your W-2 form will be required.

Additional Scholarship Opportunities

The O’Neill Tabani Enrichment Fund is to offer financial assistance to young adults with Down syndrome – 18 and older – who are continuing to enrich their lives by taking classes or enrolling in postsecondary educational programs. LiFT Board of Directors

The LiFT Board Scholarship will also open on February 1st for any family in financial need. You may access the LiFT Board Scholarship in your FACTS Tuition account.
